CENTER FOR JEWISH OUTREACH
Center for Jewish Outreach (CFJO) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization which was founded in 2006 by Rabbi Chananya Adam Rosenblum, Esq. who currently serves as its Executive Director. CFJO acts as a resource to connect those seeking access to Jewish knowledge and their Jewish heritage
CFJO provides access to Jewish learning opportunities for adults and students such as study programs, trips, lectures, one-on-one learning, and Jewish holiday programs.
I. STUDENT PROGRAMMING
In the Spring of 2013, Rabbi C. Rosenblum was appointed to the Council for Faith and Spirituality at Montclair State University (MSU) and currently serves as one of the campus chaplains, serving the entire student population at MSU. In 2018, CFJO parterned with Olami and Meor at Rutgers to bring the Maimonides Leadership Program to MSU. Students meet on campus for a weekly class and participate in shabbatonim as well.
Among the programs being offered to the students at MSU is Birthright, an all-expense paid 10-day trip to Israel where students can discover the historical roots of the Jewish People as well as experience modern-day Israel firsthand.
Rabbi Rosenblum is available to provide pastoral services to MSU students on an as-needed basis. He is also a Birthright Fellow and has personally staffed several Birthright Israel trips.​
II. ADULT EDUCATION
Learning is a lifelong process. Whether one was or was not provided Jewish learning opportunities as a child, every person should be given the means to further their Jewish education. CFJO acts as a resource for those individuals by facilitating access to a number of methods of Jewish study: one-on-one live study, lectures, and textual information available online. Rabbi Rosenblum also hosts a weekly class on the Torah portion via teleconference and has hosted reunions and shabbatonim for alumni of his past trips.
